Joe Mauer A hero for Twins

Just back from the Twins game and Joe Mauer proved to be a hero once again. The crowd at the MetroDome cheered when their star arrived at the Home plate and Joe did not disappoint. Joe started the proceedings with a single home run. He also completed a second run in the eight inning.

It was a lovely feeling to be in the twin’s territory and I have tickets for tomorrow as well.

Cubs May File Bankruptcy

The Chicago cubs have not had a good season on the score cards, but now there is more bad news. There seems to be a good deal about the cubs filing chapter 11, thats Bankruptcy for you, in lay man terms. Earlier this month, Tribune was on the papers for trying to sell the cubs along with other assets to TD Ameritrade founder, Joe Ricketts for a rough estimate of about $900 million. The deal is said to be in talks, however the pressure is on tribune.

Tribune has now decided to file bankruptcy, which will make the ballpark team, the first team in over four decades to go bankrupt. Tribune is in the mindset of clearing the sale, and feels that the bankruptcy may ease the process and will be convinced to make a purchase.
